When I came up with the idea for the site/forum/ and blog I never thought it would come together so fast. The idea of a completed site with a forum and a blog all happened within 24 hours. This only happened because I have awesome friends.

Odds are you have read all about this already on the main site www.awesomegang.com but let me explain to you the last 24 hours. I was sitting at my computer around 6 pm on friday night when I was telling my friend Debbie about the concept and I started playing around with Nameboy.com to find a domain name.

I really had no plans to develop anything but after seeing the name awesomegang.com was available I jumped at it. I know a lot of people that they are all awesome in their own certain way. I said to myself if I can introduce my online friends to each other we can keep each other in line so to speak and share practical advice to what works and what doesn’t work.

I went to godaddy.com and registered the name and paid for hosting and that took a few hours to get that side of the ball rolling. I went to sleep around 10pm and when I woke up I installed the frontpage extensions which are needed because I still use frontpage to make a website.  I then went and helped supervise the guys installing direct tv in my mothers house for two hours and came back and started to  put together the site.

While it still isn’t even close to what I want it to look like it was up and running. I had Debbie install the forum and blog because I can’t use mysqol or whatever its called to save my life. She does so that was her job for the morning. She put it all together just like she had on my other sites because she is awesome.

Around 3pm the site was up and the blog and the forum was a little after that. So within 23 hours the site/forum and blog were up and running. Now I just need to invite some awesome friends and their friends to the site. 

It sounds like an awesome plan to me. Kind of my own little social network so to speak. I have made a lot of friends on EBay forums and a lot of people in my online ventures making money. If they swap ideas on what works I can see my friends at EBay making better auction pages and I can see my online buddies learning about what they know about EBay and such.

More then that I wanted to share what I have learned about life with all my friends. Maybe I am doing something that could be done easier or cheaper.  Speak up and let me know! If you do I will think that its just awesome!

I am not sure how much this blog will be updated but I had to make it for seo reasons. I expect the forum to be the hot place to be.
